Impact Licensing Initiative Presents at UN Technology Bank Governing Council in Istanbul
On 31 January, the Impact Licensing Initiative (ILI) was honoured to present the impact licensing model at the Governing Council of the UN Technology Bank in Istanbul. The discussion focused on facilitating technology transfer and innovation in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and exploring pathways for collaboration to catalyse an Impact Intellectual Property pool for sustainable technology transfer. We were pleased to engage with key stakeholders, including:
- Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK): Advancing technology-driven initiatives
- World Eco-Design Conference (WEDC): Supporting LDC students in industrial design through its growing scholarship programme
- Zhou Family Investment Office: Showcasing vertical farming solutions for food security
The project coordinator, Johan Moyersoen, expressed gratitude, stating, "A special thanks to Managing Director Deodat Maharaj and Chairman Hasan Mandal of the UN Technology Bank for their kind invitation. It was an honour to present ILI’s mission to Ms. Rabab Fatima, Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for LDCs, LLDCs, and SIDS, as well as to the members of the Governing Council, observers, and international experts."
We are very much looking forward to strengthening partnerships and driving technology-driven impact in LDCs!
