Impact Licensing Initiative First Progress Meeting

The partners of the Impact Licensing Initiative met in Split, Croatia, for the project’s first official progress meeting, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration. Held at Technology Park Split and hosted by local partner RISE, the two-day meeting brought together all consortium members for in-depth discussions on the activities undertaken so far and to chart the course for the next phase of the project.

The meeting provided an opportunity for partners to reconnect in person, review ongoing work across the different work packages, and ensure alignment of efforts toward the shared objective: advancing innovative licensing models that prioritise social and environmental impact alongside commercial considerations.

Throughout the sessions, consortium members presented updates on their respective contributions, including progress, engaging with relevant stakeholder communities, and developing training and dissemination materials. Highlights included discussions around early pilot cases, initial feedback from stakeholder workshops, and strategies for engaging public sector actors and universities more directly.

The next consortium meeting is scheduled for later this year, with additional workshops, pressure tests and other events planned to raise awareness and deepen engagement with the initiative’s mission.
