Impact Licensing Initiative Showcases Scalable Solutions at AidEx Geneva 2025

The Impact Licensing Initiative (ILI) participated as an exhibitor at AidEx Geneva 2025, held on 22–23 October at Palexpo, the world’s leading event dedicated to humanitarian aid and disaster relief. This year’s edition focused on “Future-proofing humanitarian aid: implementing innovative approaches and systemic change for more impactful crisis response” and it brought two days of inspiring exchange and collaboration.

Represented by Silvie Daniels, PhD, the ILI team joined many organisations and innovators from across the humanitarian and development sectors. The conversations at the booth were lively and forward-looking, centred on how impact licensing can help scale social and environmental innovation where it’s needed most.

Among the highlights were three ventures from the ILI ecosystem that drew particular attention:

  • COOSHA - empowering communities with hydrogen solutions for a sustainable energy future.
  • Read Impact Ventures - boosting medical adherence by empowering patients through connected solutions.
  • IKIC Impact Ventures - reducing environmental impact across the first and last mile of temperature-controlled supply chains.

Each of these ventures demonstrates how practical innovation, backed by equitable licensing models, can translate into scalable impact on the ground. Over the two days, ILI connected with UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and fellow innovators exploring new ways to collaborate and accelerate access to technology for global good.

Participating in AidEx Geneva 2025 was an important step in ILI’s ongoing mission to build partnerships that make impact licensing a catalyst for real-world change. The ideas and connections from Geneva will continue to shape ILI’s work in the months ahead.
