ILI and Ideascout Oy Launch Strategic Partnership
The Impact Licensing Initiative and Innovation company Ideascout Oy have launched a strategic partnership to strengthen their international innovation activities and improve the translation of technology into societal and industrial impact.
Ideascout is a Finnish innovation company specialising in collaborative innovation, co-creation and strategic concept development. It works with companies, cities and innovation ecosystems to design and implement practical, forward-looking solutions. Its experience in ecosystem facilitation and stakeholder engagement complements ILI’s work in impact-oriented technology screening and responsible licensing.
The partnership combines Ideascout’s collaborative innovation methods with ILI’s Impact Licensing Toolkit and structured approaches for screening technologies and deploying them in societal markets. Together, the organisations will develop joint service concepts for international stakeholders, pilot initiatives in both the Global North and South, and exchange best practices in innovation management and impact licensing.
As part of this collaboration, two initial joint case studies are being explored, focusing on enabling local production of drone technology and advancing circular solutions through composite material recycling. These cases will demonstrate in practical terms how collaborative innovation and impact licensing can translate research and technology assets into concrete industrial applications and measurable societal outcomes.
Through this partnership, ILI and Ideascout aim to strengthen innovation ecosystems and support responsible, mission-driven technology deployment at international level.
