The Data Tank

The Data Tank (TDT) is a think and do tank based in Brussels. Launched in early 2023, The Data Tank aims to serve the common good by using data differently. When high-quality, relevant, and trustworthy data is sourced, made accessible and re-used responsibly, it can play a key role in supporting evidence-informed decision-making. At a time when our planet faces complex challenges such as climate change, social inequality, economic disruption, it is vital to make the most of this data. TDT aims to help turn this vision into a with a core mission to unlock accessing data for re-use in a systematic, sustainable and responsible way.

Role within ILI

The Data Tank is responsible for enhancing the project's education and capacity-building efforts. This includes creating a toolkit for data, artificial intelligence, and data-driven applications, as well as developing a train-the-trainers program for participants across the EU on impact licensing and data stewardship.
